Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault.
All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen.
Jude 1:24-25
For our sake He made Him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.
2 Corinthians 5:21
The world’s most valuable diamond is the Kohinoor Diamond, also known as the Mountain of Light Diamond. This stunning colourless diamond weighs 105.6 carats. It is rare, with unique oval brilliance that sets it apart from other diamonds; it is set in the Crown of the late Queen Elizabeth, Queen Mother of England and is on display at the Tower of London. It has never been sold, so no one knows its value; words like exquisite, priceless and faultless are used to describe this gem.
Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of God, Perfect in all His ways. He lived in the form of a man, yet He was sinless, He is fully divine, He obeyed the will of His Father perfectly, He is perfectly compassionate, showing mercy to those in need, and He is perfectly wise. As we live our life in Christ, we strive for perfection, but in the frailties of our flesh, we do not measure up, even on our best days. But here’s the good news we don’t have to. We stand complete in Him. It’s His right doing and right standing with the Father that has us covered. As we live out our lives in Christ, trusting Him, doing His will, and living by His Spirit, Jesus makes representations on our behalf, presenting us as faultless before God.
We are presented before God without fault because: -
- The shed blood of Jesus on the cross rescued us from the power and the penalty of sin. (Romans 3:24-25).
- The blood of Jesus justifies us, declaring us right with God as we place faith in Jesus. (Romans 5:1).
- The blood of Jesus sanctifies us, setting us apart for God and through the Holy Spirit continuously at work in us, making us holy. (1 Corinthians 6:11).
- The blood of Jesus satisfied God’s requirement for Justice. (1 John 2:2).
- The blood of Jesus means that His righteousness is credited to us. (2 Corinthians 5:21).
- The blood of Jesus means we are forgiven for all our sins, past, present and future. (Ephesians 1:7)
- The blood of Jesus means eternity is ours.
Thanks be to God for His great plan for our salvation, made available through Christ Jesus. It is a done deal giving us confidence in going to God through Christ Jesus, having the assurance that we are sons and daughters of the Most High and that there is nothing that can separate us from His love for us. We live out this gospel with transformed lives and cling to our Hope of a better eternity. Thank you, Jesus, for standing in the gap for us so we are forever faultless before the throne.
Ask: Why do you think humanity finds it easier to believe in the concept of Jesus as merely a good man or enlightened teacher than in the truth of Him being the perfect son of God and Savior of all mankind?
Seek: What does it mean to you to know that because of Christ’s death and resurrection, you can be presented continuously faultless before God?
Knock: Now, all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault. All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, in the present, and beyond all time! Amen. (Jude 1:24-25)
Spend a few moments prayerfully reflecting on this verse, and then thank God for all He has done for you through Christ Jesus.
